Allemand Wieder einmal führt Professor Wily nichts Gutes im Schilde und es liegt an Mega Man, Protoman und sogar Bass, den verrückten Wissenschaftler zu stoppen.

Anders als die konventionelleren Episoden der Serie konzentriert sich Mega Man: The Power Battle ausschließlich auf Duelle gegen Wilys Roboter. Das Ergebnis ist ein hybrides Spiel, auf halbem Weg zwischen Beat'em All und traditionellem Mega Man.

Im Kampf gegen die zahlreichen Gegner, die alle aus der klassischen Serie stammen, hat der Spieler Zugriff auf drei Charaktere: Mega Man, Protoman und Bass. Wie in jedem guten Mega Man kann der Spieler die Waffen der besiegten Roboter einsammeln und sie verwenden, um sein Vorankommen zu erleichtern.

Wie die meisten Arcade-Spiele kann Mega Man: The Power Battle von zwei Spielern gespielt werden.

Anglais Have you ever pictured a Rockman or Megaman game that allows to skip all the platform elements and just grapple against the bosses? That's pretty much the main idea in this game! Choose from Rockman/Megaman, Protoman or Bass and battle against classic bosses in the series. Features great 2-D graphics, solid control, and a nice use of strategy (since the right order of weapons will rid you of specific enemies in no time!).

À la différence des épisodes plus conventionnels de la série, Mega Man: The Power Battle se concentre exclusivement sur les duels contre les robots de Wily. Il en résulte ainsi un jeu hybride, à mi-chemin entre le beat'em all et le Mega Man traditionnel.

Face aux multiples adversaires proposés, tous issus de la série classique, le joueur a accès à trois personnages : Mega Man, Protoman et Bass. Comme dans tout bon Mega Man, le joueur peut récupérer les armes des robots vaincus et les utiliser pour faciliter sa progression.

À l'instar de la plupart des jeux d'arcade, Mega Man: The Power Battle peut se jouer à deux.

Scegli tra Rockman / Megaman, Protoman o Bass e combatti contro i boss classici della serie. Presenta un'ottima grafica 2-D, un controllo solido e un buon uso della strategia (poiché il giusto ordine delle armi ti libererà di nemici specifici in pochissimo tempo!).

Portugais Mega Man: The Power Battle, é um jogo arcade e um título spin-off para a série Mega Man.
A história do jogo é simplista; O maléfico Doutor Wily reconstruiu alguns de seus Robot Masters, com os quais ele está tentando dominar o mundo, forçando os heróis a detê-lo.
Foi lançado no Japão em 1995 e foi seguido por uma sequela, Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters, no ano seguinte. Ambos os jogos foram portados para consoles domésticos na América do Norte em 2004 como parte da Mega Man Anniversary Collection para PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube e Xbox.
Uma adaptação de ambos os jogos para o Neo Geo Pocket Color, intitulado Rockman: Battle & Fighters, também foi feita.
