Anglais Skylanders takes place in a universe known as the Skylands, which the Skylanders have made it their mission to protect. An old enemy by the name of Kaos arrived one day, and banished the Skylanders to Earth as toys. The player takes on the role of the Portal Master, in charge of bringing the toys to life and voyaging through the Skylands to once again set things right. The story was written by Alek Sokolow and Joel Cohen, who both worked on the Pixar film Toy Story. The musical score was composed by Hans Zimmer.

The 3DS version takes place in the Radiant Isles, a different realm from the console Skylanders. In this version, the Skylanders face a force of darkness commanded by an enemy named Hektore

Un antiguo enemigo, Kaos, aparece y los destierra a la Tierra convertidos en juguetes. El jugador asume el papel del Portal Master, encargado de dar vida a los juguetes y viajar por Skylands para restaurar el orden. La historia fue escrita por Alek Sokolow y Joel Cohen, guionistas de Toy Story, y la música fue compuesta por Hans Zimmer.

La versión de 3DS transcurre en las Islas Radiantes, un reino distinto al de las consolas. En esta edición, los Skylanders se enfrentan a una fuerza oscura liderada por un enemigo llamado Hektore.

Français Skylanders : Spyro's Adventure est un jeu d'action-aventure sur 3DS. On peut y incarner une trentaine de créatures en contrôlant des figurines que l'on doit positionner sur un socle fourni avec le jeu. Trois d'entre elles sont également incluses et les autres peuvent être achetées séparément.
