Anglais Toejam and Earl are two hip aliens from the planet Funkotron. One day, they are cruisin' their galaxy in the sweet spaceship ride. Unfortunately, Earl wasn't paying enough attention to where he was driving, and ran the ship into an asteroid. The ship crash landed onto the most bizarre planet in the galaxy: Earth.

Toejam and Earl must travel from level to level on Earth and collect the 10 scattered pieces of the ship. But the various Earthlings, such as Nerd Herds, Giant Hamsters, Phantom Ice Cream Trucks and the Bogeyman will make that difficult.

The power up items that TJ and E can pick up come in the form of wrapped presents. You never really know what a power up is until you open it. What's more, randomized levels and item locations make it a different game every time.

The game features a dynamic screen splitting - screen joining 2-player mode.
Players start the game close to each other. If one gets away from the other, the screen vertically splits to allow each player to move freely. When players are close again, the screens join together to become one single screen.
Espagnol Toejam y Earl son dos alienígenas del planeta Funkotron. Un día, cruzan su galaxia en un dulce viaje espacial. Desafortunadamente, Earl no estaba prestando suficiente atención a dónde estaba conduciendo, y dirigió la nave hacia un asteroide. La nave se estrelló contra el planeta más extraño de la galaxia: la Tierra. Toejam y Earl deben viajar de nivel a nivel en la Tierra y recoger las 10 piezas dispersas de la nave. Pero los diversos terrícolas, como Nerd Herds, Giant Hamsters, Phantom Ice Cream Trucks y The Bogeyman harán que sea difícil. Français ToeJam et Earl sur Megadrive sont deux extraterrestres aimant s'amuser et qui s'écrasent par accident sur Terre après que leur vaisseau ait été heurté par une météorite. Ils doivent trouver les 10 pièces du vaisseau afin de rentrer sur la planète Funkotron. Certains niveaux contiennent des pièces du vaisseau, d'autres non. Si une pièce se trouve dans un niveau, vous verrez un message d'aide lorsque vous entrez dans ce stage.

Os jogadores começam o jogo um perto do outro. Se alguém se afastar do outro, a tela se divide verticalmente para permitir que cada jogador se mova livremente. Quando os jogadores estão novamente próximos, as telas se juntam para se tornar uma única tela.
