Im Spiel kommandiert der Spieler die USS Enterprise auf einer Mission, eine eindringende Flotte zu jagen und zu zerstören Klingonische Kriegsschiffe. Der Spieler reist durch die 64 Quadranten der Galaxie, um in rundenbasierten Schlachten feindliche Schiffe mit Phasern und Photonentorpedos anzugreifen und an Sternenbasen aufzutanken. Das Ziel besteht darin, alle Feinde innerhalb eines zufälligen Zeitlimits zu eliminieren.

Anglais Star Trek is a text-based strategy computer game based on the Star Trek television series (1966-69) and was originally released in 1971 in Basic on a mainframe computer of the time. This is a port for the C64.

In the game, the player commands the USS Enterprise on a mission to hunt down and destroy an invading fleet of Klingon warships. The player travels through the 64 quadrants of the galaxy to attack enemy ships with phasers and photon torpedoes and refuel at starbases in turn-based battles. The aim is to eliminate all enemies within a random time limit.

Français Star Trek est un jeu vidéo de stratégie textuel basé sur la série télévisée Star Trek (1966-1969). Initialement sorti en 1971 en Basic sur un ordinateur central de l'époque, il s'agit ici d'un portage pour C64. Dans ce jeu, le joueur commande l'USS Enterprise lors d'une mission visant à traquer et détruire une flotte d'invasion klingonne. Il parcourt les 64 quadrants de la galaxie pour attaquer les vaisseaux ennemis à l'aide de phaseurs et de torpilles à photons, et se ravitailler dans des bases stellaires lors de combats au tour par tour. L'objectif est d'éliminer tous les ennemis dans un temps imparti aléatoire.
