Allemand Phantasy Star II Text Adventures, war eine Reihe von acht Text-Adventures, die für die Nutzer des Sega-Meganet, ein Japan exklusiver Online-Service für das Mega Drive, verfügbar waren. Die Reihe wurde später in zwei Komplilationen für das Sega MegaCD herrausgebracht. Jedes der Spiele findet kurz vor Phantasy Star II statt und stellt die Hintergrung-Geschichte der darin involvierten Charaktere da. Was bracht die Charaktere in die Stadt Paseo, wo sie letzlich zusammentun um die allgegenwärtigen Probleme des Algol Sternensystems zu untersuchen.

Yushis's Abenteuer(Rolf in der amerikanischen und europäischen Version): Er arbeitet als Regierungs-Agent für Molatavia, in der Hauptstadt deren Planets Paseo. Er ist der Hauptcharakter von Phantasy Star II. In seiner Mission rettet er einen jungen Newman namens Nei.

Anglais Phantasy Star II Text Adventures were a series of eight text adventure videogames available to users of Sega Meganet, a modem for the Sega Mega Drive in Japan, and later released as part of two compilations on the Sega Mega-CD. Each of the games takes place shortly before Phantasy Star II, documenting the backgrounds of its characters, and explaining what brings them to the town Paseo where they eventually team up to investigate the pervasive troubles of the Algol Solar System.

Portugais Este jogo é uma das oito aventuras de texto que narra a vida dos personagens antes de sua história continuar em Phantasy Star II. Este jogo em particular cobre Rolf Landale, um jovem órfão que é conhecido em toda a sua cidade como um espadachim adepto. Depois de ser desafiado e derrotado em um duelo, Rolf deixa o orfanato e passa os próximos 8 anos treinando. Quando ele volta para casa, ele descobre que uma das garotas do orfanato foi sequestrada, então agora cabe a Rolf ir resgatá-la.

A jogabilidade consiste em explorar vários locais, olhar em volta para encontrar outros personagens com os quais conversar, a fim de obter pistas e procurar itens a serem usados para resolver problemas, o que ajuda ainda mais na trama.

Alguns itens que podem ser pegos podem ser usados para armas durante o combate. Quando em combate, o poder de ataque da arma dos jogadores é multiplicado por um teste de dados aleatório para descobrir a força do ataque. A mesma regra se aplica ao ataque do combatente inimigo. O objetivo do combate é drenar todo o HP do inimigo.
