Allemand Nachdem der Vampirkiller Simon Belmont im ursprünglichen Castlevania (1987) den Grafen Dracula vernichtet hat, wurde er von einem bösen Fluch besessen. Die einzige Möglichkeit für Simon, den Fluch des Grafen zu brechen, besteht darin, fünf von Draculas Körperteilen zu finden (die auf mysteriöse Weise in ganz Transsylvanien verstreut sind) und sie zu verbrennen.

Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Castlevania-Spielen gibt es in Simon's Quest keine traditionellen Stages, sondern Sie können das Land Transsylvanien im Stil von Nintendos Metroid frei durchstreifen. In mehreren Städten kann Simon mit NPCs sprechen und Gegenstände in Geschäften kaufen, was dem Spiel einen Hauch von Rollenspiel verleiht.

In this one-player adventure you once again take on the role of Simon Belmont and duel to the death with Count Dracula. Grab your legendary whip, Vampire Killer, and roam freely through Transylvania on a quest to find the count's missing body parts. These are the key to breaking an evil curse put upon Simon by the count. This quest won't be easy, though, for you must battle hideous fiends who stalk the land. In addition to the intense action and tight control the Castlevania series is known for, this sequel also introduced several unique game-play elements into the fold. Build experience the longer you play, buy weapons and items from merchants, or talk with villagers to get clues (some of which are false!). Watch as day turns to night and then back again. Take a deep breath, steady your nerves, and help Simon end his curse and defeat the count once and for all

Espagnol El protagonista del juego es el cazador de vampiros Simón Belmont, que después de derrotar al conde Drácula queda con heridas que le provocan una maldición. Para liberarse de la maldición, deberá recolectar cinco partes de Drácula (uña, hueso, corazón, anillo y ojo) y quemarlas. Estas partes se encuentran en las cinco mansiones de Drácula que aparecen en el juego y que para ser obtenidas deberá lanzarse una estaca sobre ellas. Cada una de estas partes de Drácula le brinda a Simon Belmont una habilidad especial. Al llegar a Castlevania, Simon deberá quemar las cinco partes de Drácula y deberá enfrentarse al enemigo final del juego: el propio Conde. Este juego cuenta con tres finales, que dependerán del tiempo que Simon tarde en pelear con el Conde.

Castlevania II reprend les éléments qui ont fait le succès de son prédécesseur, en y ajoutant un aspect aventure et une alternance entre le jour et la nuit. Méfiez-vous, les ennemis deviennent plus dangereux lorsque le soleil se couche !
Italien Il protagonista del gioco è il cacciatore di vampiri Simon Belmont, che dopo aver sconfitto il conte Dracula rimane con ferite che provocano una maledizione. Per liberarti dalla maledizione, dovrai raccogliere cinque parti di Dracula (unghia, osso, cuore, anello e occhio) e bruciarle. Queste parti si trovano nelle cinque dimore di Dracula che appaiono nel gioco e per essere ottenute, è necessario lanciare un paletto su di esse. Ognuna di queste parti di Dracula conferisce a Simon Belmont un'abilità speciale. Arrivato a Castlevania, Simon deve bruciare tutte e cinque le parti di Dracula e deve affrontare l'ultimo nemico del gioco: il Conte stesso. Questo gioco ha tre finali, a seconda del tempo impiegato da Simon per combattere il Conte.

Portugais Depois que o caçador de vampiros Simon Belmont destruiu o Conde Drácula no Castlevania original (1987), uma maldição do mal o dominou. A única maneira de Simon quebrar a maldição do conde é encontrar cinco partes do corpo de Drácula (que estão misteriosamente espalhadas pela Transilvânia) e queimá-las.

Ao contrário da maioria dos outros jogos de Castlevania, Simon's Quest não apresenta os estágios tradicionais, mas permite que você vague livremente pela terra da Transilvânia no estilo do Metroid da Nintendo. Em várias cidades Simon pode conversar com NPCs e comprar itens em lojas, adicionando um toque de RPG.
