Anglais Beat Planet Music is, as the title would suggest, a rhythm action game. Each song represents a connection linking two cities; notes scroll down different lanes, and the the player must move their cursor from lane to lane and hit each note in order to play the music. As the player clears different songs, new samples are unlocked in the other mode: the song editor.
The meat of the game is the Song Editor mode, where the samples that make up the in-game music can be used to put together new tracks. Songs can be saved to the memory card, and played in the game's trial mode. You can even take samples from your own CDs and use them in your songs.

Français Beat Planet Music est, comme son titre l'indique, un jeu d'action rythmique. Chaque chanson représente une connexion reliant deux villes; les notes défilent dans différentes voies, et le joueur doit déplacer son curseur d'une voie à l'autre et frapper chaque note pour jouer la musique. Au fur et à mesure que le lecteur efface différentes chansons, de nouveaux échantillons sont déverrouillés dans l'autre mode: l'éditeur de chansons.
Le plus du jeu est le mode Song Editor, où les échantillons qui composent la musique du jeu peuvent être utilisés pour créer de nouvelles pistes. Les chansons peuvent être enregistrées sur la carte mémoire et jouées dans le mode d'essai du jeu. Vous pouvez même prélever des échantillons de vos propres CD et les utiliser dans vos chansons.
