Allemand „Bomberman“ erzählt die Geschichte eines falschen Verdachts, als Bomberman Zeuge eines Raubüberfalls wird. Der schwarze Bomberman stellt ihm eine Falle, indem er ihn außer Gefecht setzt und das gestohlene Geld zurücklässt, um ihm die Tat anzuhängen. Nun sitzt Bomberman im Gefängnis und hat nur eine Möglichkeit, sich zu befreien – mit Bomben! Wie im Vorgänger besteht das Ziel darin, alle Gegner in einem Level zu besiegen und den Ausgang zum nächsten Bereich zu finden. Dabei ist es riskant, sich wahllos den Weg freizusprengen, da unbedachte Explosionen gefährlich sein können. Power-Ups verbessern die Fähigkeiten, indem sie die Explosionsreichweite vergrößern, die Anzahl der platzierbaren Bomben erhöhen, die Geschwindigkeit steigern oder sogar das Durchqueren von Wänden ermöglichen.

Anglais Our hero Bomberman Shiro was walking down the street one day when he witnessed a robbery. It was Bomberman Kuro who was the robber. But Kuro knocked Shiro to the ground, and then left the money so that he would be framed. Now Shiro has been taken to jail and must fight his way out of this place using the only method he knows: explosive bombs.

Dynablaster is the second Bomberman game in the series and plays similar to the first, only all gameplay has been reduced to a single screen. Your goal however remains the same on a smaller playing area. You are to destroy all enemies on a level and then find the exit to the next one. Bombing the exit is always a bad idea. The occasional power-up will increase your bomb blast, number of bombs on the screen at one time, player speed or give you the ability to walk through walls.

This game introduces a Versus Mode for 2 players and a Battle Mode for 3. Your goal in these is to destroy the other players while staying alive yourself.

Além do jogo single player, Bomberman II introduz um modo Versus para 2 jogadores e um Battle Mode para 3. Seu objetivo é destruir os outros jogadores enquanto você estiver vivo.
