Auf dem Sterbebett enthüllt der letzte Nachfahre eines afrikanischen Königs die Existenz eines Tempels, in dem sich ein riesiger Diamant befindet, der das Wissen aller Völker birgt.
Das einzige Problem ist, dass die Karte auf die Felle von acht Tomtoms geschrieben wurde, die über die ganze Welt verstreut sind. An neun exotischen Orten muss der Spieler die Elementargeister herausfordern, um diese Schätze zu finden.

Anglais Carmen Sandiego: The Secret of the Stolen Tam-Tams is a third-person platformer for Xbox. On his deathbed, the last descendant of an African king reveals the existence of a temple containing a huge diamond that holds the knowledge of all nations. The only problem is that the map was written on the skins of eight tom-toms scattered around the world. In nine exotic locations, the player must challenge the elemental spirits to find these treasures.

En su lecho de muerte, el último descendiente de un rey africano revela la existencia de un templo que contiene un enorme diamante que guarda el conocimiento de todas las naciones. El único problema es que el mapa estaba escrito en las pieles de ocho tam-tams repartidos por todo el mundo. En nueve lugares exóticos, el jugador tendrá que desafiar a los espíritus elementales para encontrar estos tesoros.
