Anglais The Rapid Angel puts you in the role of one off three characters Ayane who uses the sword and is the strongest one out of the group, Natsumi is the martial artist of the group and is able to pull off combos and Haruna who is a long-range combatant which is the most difficult of the three to use. Any character you choose will have a sequence of storyboards at the beginning, chances are you won't understand what they're saying but they are drawn nicely. All three characters play different in which they all attack and block but it's in the style of attacking that differs, when it comes to platforming they're very similar in how they jump.

The game is a 2D platforming action game that circles around very simple controls. One assigned to jumping ( pressed twice to double jump), one assigned to attacking and one assigned to block that you will barely use, mostly because as in most games in this genre they don't usually use block so you'll forget it's an option. Last one is your ?magic? attack in which if pressed will attack everything on screen use it wisely because you only have so many. The controls works very well in that their easy to use, no complicated buttons to navigate through, just one button is all you really need.

The style is very anime inspired. All the character have the big anime eyes and wacky anime emotions. Such as the over exaggerated expressions of waving their arms around very rapid when they are freaking out and the big sweat drops when they are in a nervous or awkward situation. Some of the environments will make you want to look around (usually the background) because of the detail. Later levels especially the lava ones look fantastic because of the glow in the environment.
