A balanced party is a necessity in this game. There are several locations and items that are restricted to certain genders, alignments, or races. A party made up of Good Human Males won't get you very far. Time plays a large role in this game. Time travel is a part of it, but on a more basic level, you will find that characters age as the game goes on. If you wait too long, your characters' statistics will change to reflect their aging.

El tiempo juega un papel importante en este juego. El viaje en el tiempo es parte de él, pero en un nivel más básico, encontrarás que los personajes envejecen a medida que avanza el juego. Français Le voyageur de l'espace et gardien voyou Sheltem a quitté le monde VARN, où il était poursuivi par l'implacable Corak le Mystérieux et un groupe d'aventuriers locaux qui l'aidaient. Gates to Another World est le deuxième volet de la série Might and Magic, et la suite de Secret of the Inner Sanctum. Le gameplay est similaire à celui de son prédécesseur : le joueur crée un groupe de six personnages et explore de vastes environnements en 3D à la première personne, tout en combattant des ennemis au tour par tour et en gagnant des niveaux.
