Allemand Far Cry 4 spielt in der fiktiven Region Kyrat, die an die Himalaya-Regionen Nepals angelehnt ist, und folgt der Geschichte von Ajay Ghale, einem Amerikaner mit kyratischer Abstammung, der in die Region zurückkehrt, um die Asche seiner verstorbenen Mutter zu verstreuen. Kaum angekommen, wird er in den Konflikt verwickelt und von der Rebellenorganisation „The Golden Path“, die von seinen Eltern gegründet wurde, gerettet. Im Verlauf des Spiels hat Ajay die Möglichkeit, sich entweder der Regierung von König Pagan Min oder den Rebellen anzuschließen, was zu unterschiedlichen Enden führt. Das Spiel behält viele Gameplay-Elemente aus Far Cry 3 bei, bietet jedoch eine neue offene Welt und eine andere Story.

Anglais Far Cry 4 is the fourth main game in the open world action series. It has no narrative ties to Far Cry 3, but carries over many gameplay elements. The game is set in Kyrat, a fictional region based on the Himalayan regions of Nepal. It is governed by the depostic king Pagan Min. The player controls Ajay Ghale, an American with Kyrati roots who returns to the region to disperse his deceased mother's ashes. As soon as he arrives he is dragged into the conflict and is rescued by the rebel organization The Golden Path started by his parents. During the game the Ajay can eventually choose which force to side with, with different endings.

Français Far Cry 4 est un jeu de tir à la première personne sur 360. Le joueur incarne Ajay, un natif de la région de Kyrat, dans l'Himalaya. A son retour au pays, il prend part à la rébellion pour le soulèvement de son pays face au dictateur Pagan Min. Le titre offre une aventure solo en monde ouvert que l'on peut aussi explorer en coopération à deux, mais également un multijoueur compétitif et un éditeur de cartes.
