Allemand Die Fortsetzung zu Super Star Wars basiert, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, auf Episode V: Das Imperium schlägt zurück, dem zweiten Film der originalen Star Wars Trilogie.

Das Spiel beinhaltet bekannte Schauplätze und Geschehnisse aus dem Film, wie beispielsweise den Eisplaneten Hoth, die Suche nach Yoda auf dem Dschungelplaneten Dagobah und den Kampf gegen Darth Vader. Einige Gebiete wurden erweitert, wobei neue Orte und Boss-Gegner hinzugefügt wurden die es nicht im Film gab. Außerdem wurden manche Schlüsselereignisse in der Geschichte abgeändert oder ausgelassen.

Wie im Vorgänger, ist es dem Spieler möglich drei Charaktere zu steuern: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo und Chewbacca. Allerdings hat jede Figur jetzt einen individuellen Spezialangriff. Chewie bahnt sich mit seiner Zerstörungskraft seinen Weg durch die Gegner, Han besitzt Granaten und einen kraftvollen Rutschangriff und Luke kann mit seinem Lichtschwert entgegenkommende Geschosse abwehren.

Anglais The sequel to Super Star Wars is, as the name implies, based on Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, the second of the original Star Wars movie trilogy. The game features familiar locations and events from the film, such as the ice planet Hoth, the search for Yoda on the jungle planet Dagobah, and the fight against Darth Vader. Several locations are expanded, adding places and boss enemies that did not exist in the movie, and certain key events in the story are omitted or changed.

As in the previous game, the player is able to control three characters: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca. Unlike the first, each character has been given a distinct special move. Chewie spins a path of destruction through enemies, Han has grenades and a powerful slide, and Luke can switch to his lightsaber and block oncoming fire. Gameplay is very similar to the first game, mostly focusing on platforming elements. As before, there are Mode-7 vehicle levels, during which the player is able to pilot a snowspeeder against encroaching Imperial walkers, pilot the Millennium Falcon through the asteroid field, and break through Cloud City's defenses in Luke's X-Wing fighter.

The game's other major addition is the inclusion of a suite of Force powers for Luke. They are learned by collecting hidden orbs on the Dagobah level, and add a second special bar that depletes with each usage of a Force power. Power-ups include health items, weapon upgrades, screen-clearing detonators, and orbs that restore Luke's Force power. Passwords have also been added, and are given upon completion of each of the game's 25 stages.
Espagnol El estilo del juego es el mismo que en la primera y tercera parte, por lo que se trata de un juego de plataformas y acción de scroll horizontal en el que tenemos que avanzar con el personajes que controlamos por los diferentes escenarios mientras derrotamos a los diferentes enemigos que nos salgan al encuentro para al final de cada fase, que suelen contener varios niveles, enfrentarnos a un jefe de fin de fase. Al igual que en las otras dos entregas, también se nos intercalan niveles de simulación, y por primera vez en la trilogía para Super Nintendo hay niveles a bordo del Halcón Milenario.

Il gioco presenta luoghi ed eventi già noti del film, come il pianeta ghiacciato Hoth, la ricerca di Yoda sul pianeta-giungla Dagobah e la lotta contro Darth Vader. Diverse ambientazioni sono state ampliate, aggiungendo luoghi e nemici boss che non esistevano nel film, mentre alcuni eventi chiave della storia sono stati omessi o modificati.

Come nel gioco precedente, il giocatore può controllare tre personaggi: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo e Chewbacca. A differenza del primo, a ogni personaggio è stata assegnata una mossa speciale distinta. Chewie roteando crea un percorso di distruzione attraverso i nemici, Han dispone di granate e di una potente scivolata, mentre Luke può passare alla sua spada laser e bloccare il fuoco in arrivo. Il gameplay è molto simile a quello del primo gioco e si concentra principalmente su elementi platform. Come in precedenza, ci sono livelli di veicoli, durante i quali il giocatore può pilotare uno snowspeeder contro gli incursori imperiali, pilotare il Millennium Falcon attraverso il campo di asteroidi e sfondare le difese di Cloud City con il caccia X-Wing di Luke.

O jogo apresenta locais e eventos familiares do filme, como o planeta de gelo Hoth, a busca por Yoda no planeta da selva Dagobah e a luta contra Darth Vader. Vários locais são expandidos, adicionando locais e chefes inimigos que não existiam no filme, e certos eventos-chave na história são omitidos ou alterados.
