Allemand Nicht weit von Bombermans Heimatstadt Peace Town entfernt, liegt die moderne Metropole Diamond City. Der fiese Carat Diamond und sein Assistent Dr. Mook veranstalten ein Turnier für Roboter, die speziell für Kämpfe und mit offensiven Fähigkeiten entworfen wurden.

In der Hoffnung, Bombermans spezielle Kampftechniken stehlen und kopieren zu können, erschuf Carat Diamond einen Bomber-Roboter, der den echten Bomberman entführen sollte.

Der schwarze Bomberman bekam Wind von der Sache und versuchte, sie im Alleingang zu stoppen. Sein Vorhaben endete aber in einer Niederlage und zu allem Überfluss wurde auch noch sein Schloss von den Robotern und anderen Monstern eingenommen.

Auf der Flucht traf er den weißen Bomber und erzählte ihm von Carat Diamonds Plan. Kurz darauf sind Horden von feindlichen Robotern auf dem Vormarsch und steuern auf Peace Town zu.

Nun liegt es an den beiden Helden, Diamond City vor dem schurkischen Duo und ihrer Roboter-Armee zu retten.

Anglais Super Bomberman is the first Bomberman game on the Super NES. Like most games in the Bomberman series, Super Bomberman features a normal game as well as the famous battle mode.

In the normal game, Mr. Karat and Dr. Mukk have been terrorizing Diamond City. You must go from board to board, defeating the bad guys and solving puzzles to move to the next board.

In battle mode, up to four players go head to head in a battle to the death. Players can be computer controlled or human controlled via the Super MultiTap.

Espagnol Muy al norte de Peace Town, el hogar de Bomberman, se encuentra Diamond City, una moderna metrópolis. Ahí, el malvado Carat Diamond y su cómplice, el Dr. Mook, organizan un Torneo de Robots, usando robots especialmente diseñados para tener habilidades ofensivas y de combate. Diamond desea poseer la avanzada capacidad de combate de Bomberman; con este fin, diseñó un falso Bomberman, enviándolo a Peace Town para secuestrar al verdadero. Pero Bomberman Negro recibió información sobre los planes de Diamond, y decidió encarar al impostor en un duelo individual. Lamentablemente, Bomberman Negro fue derrotado, y su castillo terminó destruido. De algún modo, Bomberman Negro pudo escapar; rápidamente buscó la ayuda de Bomberman Blanco, informándole de los malvados planes de Diamond. Pronto, incontables oleadas de robots enemigos comenzaron su avance hacia Peace Town; ahora nuestros héroes deberán unir fuerzas, en una desesperada lucha contra las fuerzas del mal.

Français Super Bomberman est l'apparition sur Super Nintendo du célèbre poseur de bombes qui a fait le tour des consoles dans les années 80 et 90. Une nouvelle fois, il faut faire exploser les ennemis présents à l'écran pour progresser dans les niveaux et atteindre des boss à éliminer. A noter qu'il s'agit de l'un des premiers jeux à utiliser le Super MultiTap pour pouvoir jouer à quatre, ce qui ajoute un grand intérêt au mode battle où le but est d'éliminer les autres poseurs de bombes.
Italien Super Bomberman è l'apparizione su Super Nintendo del famoso bomber che ha fatto il giro delle console negli anni '80 e '90. Ancora una volta, devi far saltare in aria i nemici sullo schermo per progredire attraverso i livelli e raggiungere i boss da eliminare. Si noti che questo è uno dei primi giochi ad utilizzare Super MultiTap per poter giocare a quattro, il che aggiunge grande interesse alla modalità battaglia in cui l'obiettivo è eliminare gli altri bombardieri.

Portugais Ao norte da Cidade da Paz, situada na moderna metrópole de Diamond City, o mal chamado Carat Diamond e sua corte junto com o Cientista Dr. Mok designaram um grupo de robôs com capacidades ofensivas e com a intenção de roubar de Bomberman sua avançada capacidade de combate, Diamond criou um falso Bomberman para ir à Cidade da Paz e sequestrar o verdadeiro Bomberman. Percebendo a situação o Bomberman Negro prepara-se para enfrentar sozinho o falso Bomberman, porém acaba sendo derrotado e tendo seu castelo tomado. Contudo, Bomberman Negro escapa e consegue refúgio junto ao Bomberman Branco e avisa-o do perigo que está acontecendo. Logo após a onda dos robôs inimigos começarem a avançar em direção a Cidade da Paz, os dois heróis devem juntar forças para vencer este mal.
