Allemand In Sniper Elite 3, das diesmal noch stärker auf die Handlungs- und Auswahlmöglichkeiten des Spielers ausgerichtet ist und weitläufige Umgebungen für zahlreiche unterschiedliche Spielweisen bietet, begibt sich OSS-Mitglied Karl Fairburne im ebenso exotischen wie tödlichen Gelände Nordafrikas zur Zeit des Zweiten Weltkriegs weit hinter die deutschen Linien. Von dort aus leistet er als Scharfschütze den Alliierten die entscheidende Unterstützung bei ihrem Kampf gegen die furchterregenden deutschen Tiger-Panzer in der Libyschen Wüste. Doch das berüchtigte Afrikakorps ist nicht der einzige Grund, weshalb Karl sich Sorgen machen muss. Schon bald deckt er die Pläne der Deutschen zum Bau einer "Wunderwaffe" auf, die mächtig genug ist, die alliierten Truppen zu vernichten und das Blatt des gesamten Krieges zu wenden.
