Allemand The Flintstones: The Treasure of Sierra Madrock ist ein 1994 erschienenes Side-Scrolling-Action-Videospiel von Taito für den SNES. Die Geschichte des Spiels basiert im Allgemeinen auf der Zeichentrickserie The Flintstones aus den 1960er Jahren. Der Titel ist eine Anspielung auf den Roman Der Schatz der Sierra Madre von B. Traven aus dem Jahr 1927 und dessen Verfilmung von 1948.

In der Geschichte des Spiels beschließt der Anführer der Wasserbüffel, sich zur Ruhe zu setzen. Als seine letzte Anordnung als Großer Poobah ruft er einen Wettbewerb aus, bei dem derjenige, der den Schatz der Sierra Madre findet, sein Nachfolger wird. Im Spiel müssen Fred Feuerstein und Barney Geröllheimer den Schatz vor allen anderen Buffalo-Mitgliedern (oder sogar vor ihren Ehefrauen Wilma und Betty) finden. Das Spiel enthält Passwörter, mit denen das Spiel auf der höchsten erreichten Stufe fortgesetzt werden kann.

Anglais The Great Poobah has retired and is looking for a successor. Since there are so many candidates, it is decided that the person who finds the Great Treasure of Sierra Madrock will become the new Great Poobah.
The player takes control over Fred and Barney who also participate in the treasure hunt in order to make Fred the New Great Poobah.

The Flintstones: The Treasure of Sierra Madrock is a side-scrolling platformer that includes several board game elements. On a world map, Fred and Barney throw dices to determine how many fields they can move.

There are different fields that hold different challenges.

Most fields require you to finish a side-scrolling platforming level. Fred and Barney can jump, club their enemies and climb trees or stone pillars. Holding down the jump button lets them hover in the air for a short moment. Throughout the levels, different power-ups and items can be found: clamps are used as money, apples replenish some health, 100 stars grant an extra life to Barney or Fred and an empty Heart frame increases their life bar.

On fields marked with a skull, a boss has to be defeated.

Heart fields hold bonus games in which you have to collect as many items as possible within the time limit.

At amusement parks, several mini-games can be played to win items or extra lives. Mini-games include: Memory; Balls O' Fun", where you can win items by throwing a ball at them; a mini-game in which you have to stop monkeys from climbing down trees and stealing your items by hitting them with coconuts and others.

In Cafes you can buy food to replenish your health.

In stadiums you can participate in special challenges (3D cart races for example), in order to gain new abilities such as double jumps.

While stadiums, cafes and amusement parks can be revisited, all other levels only need to be finished once.

Fred and Barney are not the only characters that move about the playing field. You will also run into their wives Betty and Thelma as well as other characters that are also looking for the treasure. When Fred or Barney encounter their wives, they are dragged a few fields back. Other characters give them useful items if you can beat them at a challenge (usually a race).

Other notable features are a password system and a competitive 2-player mode.
Espagnol Tendremos que recorrer 5 mundos diferentes al más puro estilo de la serie, donde controlaremos a Pedro Picapiedra y a Pablo Mármol a través de fases con diversos enemigos.

El objetivo del juego consiste en llegar a un cofre antes que los demás, donde encontraremos un tesoro. Para lograrlo, nuestros protagonistas tendrán que superar un reto al final de cada mundo: una carrera en coche, a pie, en patines, etc. Avanzaremos por los escenarios lanzando un dado del 1 al 3 cada turno. En el camino nos encontraremos con las mujeres de ambos, Betty y Wilma, que no están muy de acuerdo con esta aventura, y por ello nos llevarán hasta la salida. También hay fases de minijuegos, en los que podremos participar pagando unas monedas que conseguiremos en los niveles, acabando con los enemigos o simplemente las cogeremos sin tener que hacer nada. Estas monedas tienen otra utilidad, en cada mundo hay varias tiendas donde podremos comprar objetos para recuperarnos. En las fases podremos conseguir estrellas, cuya utilidad es darnos una vida cada 100 que recojamos.

Le joueur contrôle Fred et Barney chacun à leur tour. Le jeu se présente comme un jeu de société dont les cases représentent des niveaux à parcourir. Il y a plusieurs cases spéciales qui amènent des challenges tout particuliers. Un mode 2 joueurs permet d'y jouer avec un ami.
