Mit einer anderen Frontend-Schnittstelle als in früheren Versionen, die wie eine Mischung aus MTV und einem Doodle-Buch aussieht, wählen Sie die Herausforderung aus, an der Sie teilnehmen möchten, anstatt sich wie in früheren Versionen auf den Weg zur Veranstaltung zu machen.
Mit verbesserten Steuerelementen, die die Durchführung von „Monster Jumps“ (Uber-Tricks) einfacher machen, kann jeder wie ein Profi aussehen, ohne Tastenkombinationen lernen zu müssen. Wenn Sie den gleichen Trick wie zuvor immer wieder ausführen, erhalten Sie nicht die Punkte, die Ihren Skifahrer/Snowboarder vom Neuling zu dem machen würden, was er als „Rockstar mit dem schwarzen Diamanten“ bezeichnet.
Das Spiel verspricht große Sprünge, schnelles Tempo und viele farbige, detaillierte Pisten.
Die GameCube-Version bringt Mario, Luigi und Peaches als Sondercharaktere auf die Piste. Jeder hat seine eigenen Bewegungen und wird von Musik im Mario-Stil begleitet.

Anglais Create your skier or snowboarder and get on the slopes in this version of the SSX franchise. With a different front end interface to previous versions, which looks like a mix between MTV and a doodle book, you select the challenge you want to take part in rather than boarding your way to the event as previous versions.

With improved controls making "Monster Jumps" (Uber Tricks) easier to perform, everyone can look like a professional without learning button combos. As before, if you perform the same trick over and over, you won't get the points to take your skier/snowboarder from a novice to what they have a labeled "black-diamond-dominating rockstar".

The game promises big jumps, fast pace and lots of coloured, detailed slopes.

The GameCube version delivers Mario, Luigi and Peaches on the slopes as special characters. Each has their own moves and is accompanied by Mario-style music.

Français SSX on Tour sur PSP est un jeu de surf totalement orienté arcade. Oubliez le réalisme, ici ce sont les figures les plus improbables qui prennent le pas. A ski ou sur une bonne vieille "table des neiges", le jeu propose des missions très variées : classiques courses contre la montre ou aux points ; réussir à s'échapper de la police des pistes ; renverser un certain nombre de skieurs, etc.
