Allemand Barbarian II ist nicht zu verwechseln mit Barbarian II: The Dungeon of Drax von Palace Software. Barbarian II ist eine direkte Fortsetzung des Psygnosis-Spiels Barbarian, einem Action- und Point-and-Click-Hybrid, der vier Jahre zuvor veröffentlicht wurde. Das Spiel erzählt die Geschichte von Hegor dem Barbaren weiter. Nachdem er vor einigen Jahren zu Unrecht besiegt wurde, ist der böse Lord Necron von einem seiner Kultanhänger wiedergeboren worden. Jetzt ist nur noch Hegor stark, mutig und dumm genug, um sich Necron und seinen Schergen zu stellen.

Im Gegensatz zum ursprünglichen Barbarian, das ein Actionspiel mit Point-and-Click-Steuerung war, spielt sich Barbarian II wie ein typischer Actiontitel mit labyrinthartigem Layout. Während seiner Abenteuer besucht Hegor viele Schauplätze wie einen Wald voller Schurken, Werwölfe und Stachelgruben, eine lange, lange Höhle, eine halbwegs freundliche Menschenstadt, einen Kerker und schließlich den Tempel von Necron. Alle Gebiete sind ziemlich groß und stecken voller Feinde und Fallen.

Anglais Not to be confused with Barbarian II: Dungeons of Drax by Palace Software, Barbarian II is the direct continuation of an action/point'n'click game released 4 years earlier. Developed by Pandamonium Entertainment and published by the legendary Psygnosis (Shadow of the Beast, Ork, Agony), the game continues the story of Hegor the Barbarian.

After being defeated a few years ago, the Maleficent Lord Necron was reincarnated by one of his disciples. Now, Hegor is strong enough to face Necron and his henchmen.

Unlike the original barbarian, which was an action game with a point'n'click interface, Barbarian II is played as a classic action/adventure game with a labyrinthine arrangement.

During his adventures, Hegor will visit many fascinating places such as a forest populated by thugs, werewolves and pits full of spikes, an immense cave, a relatively friendly human city, a dungeon and finally the temple of Necron. All these areas are immense, confusing and full of enemies and traps.

Français Barbarian II est la suite du jeu de Psygnosis sur Atari ST. Le joueur incarne une nouvelle fois le guerrier Hegor et doit se débarrasser de Lord Necron. Votre quête vous conduira à travers de nombreux lieux infestés d'ennemis qu'il faudra terrasser pour progresser. Contrairement au premier volet, le héros se manipule comme dans un jeu d'action classique.
