The remake retools various bugs, glitches, balances characters, adds new backgrounds and music, along with adding characters missing from KOFs 95 through 97: Eiji, Kasumi, Geese, Mr. Big, Krauser, Goenitz, Riot Iori, Riot Leona, and Orochi. The game also adds an Ultimate mode allowing mix various options from Advanced and Extra Mode into one style.
