Allemand Eines Tages verwandelte sich ein rotes Lum namens André in ein dunkles Lum, einen pelzigen und tollwütigen kleinen Ball. Seine Absicht war es, die Welt zu erobern, und nachdem er andere Rote Lums in Dunkle Lums verwandelt hatte, schlossen sie sich zu einem Wesen zusammen, das aus der Vereinigung von Dunklen Lums und Tierhaaren resultierte, und bildeten so die Hoodlums, die die Welt mit Terror und Chaos erfüllten.

Globox, a friend of Rayman, has placed the world in peril. By eating the Lord of the Dark Lums, Globox has enraged the Hoodlums, who plan to take back their master no matter what the cost to the world around them. It's up to Rayman to save the day and find a cure to rid the Dark Lord from Globox.

New abilities, thanks to power ups littered around the levels, allow Rayman to use the likes of Heavy Metal Fist and the Shock Rocket to take down enemies around him, while the lock jaw allows Rayman to get to hard to reach places.

Rayman 3 can link to a Gamecube via the link port, allowing players to play exclusive mini-games on both systems and download new levels to the GBA.
Espagnol Un día, un Lum Rojo llamado André se transformó en un Dark Lum, una pequeña bola peluda y rabiosa. Su intención era conquistar el mundo, y tras transformar a otros Lums Rojos en Dark Lums, se unieron para formar un ser resultado de la unión de los Dark Lums y pelo de animal, formando así los Hoodlums, llenando el mundo de terror y caos.

Con el tiempo, Los Hoodlums se fueron apoderando del bosque, y poco a poco del resto del mundo. Después de llegar a la entrada del Concilio de las Hadas, Rayman y Murphy descubren a Globox escondido en un barril.
