Anglais Hole Land is a fixed-screen shooter developed by Tecfri and released in Japan in 1984. The player controls a multicolored robot that can move left and right, jump, and shoot at enemies such as small humanoids, rats, ghosts, and snakes emerging from holes at the top of the screen. The player, who remains at the bottom of the screen, must eliminate all enemies before they reach the bottom or avoid them by jumping to complete each level. Enemies can attack the player with bombs, temporarily disabling their ability to jump, move, and shoot. The player can also become vulnerable if hit by rocks coming from volcanoes.
