Anglais Space Invaders is a two-dimensional fixed shooter game in which the player controls a laser cannon by moving it horizontally across the bottom of the screen and firing at descending aliens. The aim is to defeat five rows of eleven aliens—some versions feature different numbers—that move horizontally back and forth across the screen as they advance towards the bottom of the screen. The player defeats an alien, and earns points, by shooting it with the laser cannon. As more aliens are defeated, the aliens' movement and the game's music both speed up. Defeating the aliens brings another wave that is more difficult, a loop which can continue indefinitely.

Espagnol Space Invaders es un juego de disparos bidimensional de pantalla fija en el que el jugador controla un cañón láser, moviéndolo horizontalmente por la parte inferior de la pantalla y disparando a los alienígenas que descienden. El objetivo es derrotar cinco filas de once alienígenas —algunas versiones presentan cantidades diferentes— que se mueven de lado a lado mientras avanzan hacia la parte inferior. El jugador elimina a un alienígena y gana puntos al alcanzarlo con el cañón láser. A medida que se derrotan más alienígenas, tanto su velocidad de movimiento como la música del juego se aceleran. Al eliminarlos a todos, aparece una nueva oleada más difícil, en un ciclo que puede continuar indefinidamente.

Français Space Invaders est un jeu de tir à défilement horizontal en 2D où le joueur contrôle un canon laser en le déplaçant horizontalement en bas de l'écran pour tirer sur des extraterrestres qui descendent. Le but est d'éliminer cinq rangées de onze extraterrestres (le nombre peut varier selon les versions) qui se déplacent horizontalement d'avant en arrière en progressant vers le bas de l'écran. Chaque extraterrestre éliminé rapporte des points. Plus le nombre d'extraterrestres éliminés augmente, plus leurs mouvements et la musique du jeu s'accélèrent. Chaque élimination déclenche une nouvelle vague plus difficile, un cycle qui peut se répéter indéfiniment.
