Anglais In 1834, in the small New England fishing village of Illsmouth, the distinguished British scientist Lord Boleskine lost his mind. After studying ancient manuscripts of evil repute, he had travelled to this place to observe the passing of Halley's comet. What he observed that night, however, turned him into a raving lunatic. Now, 76 years later, Halley's comet is coming back, and young astronomer John T. Parker has travelled to Illsmouth to try to uncover the truth in Boleskine's wild claims, and see the comet for himself.

Shadow of the Comet is a unique horror adventure, inspired by the terrifying writings of H. P. Lovecraft.
Français Entrez dans l'univers étrange et inquiétant du mythe de Chtulhu, imaginé par le romancier Howard Philip Lovecraft.
Vous, John Parker, astronome anglais, partez en 1910 vers la petite ville américaine d'Illsmouth (dans les romans c'est Innsmouth) dans le but de découvrir ce qui s'est vraiment passé 76 ans plus tôt, lors du passage précédent de la comète de Halley. Car vous le savez, Lord Boleskine, cet astronome génial, n'est pas devenu fou sans raison, lui qui disait avoir trouvé en Illsmouth un lieu où les étoiles sont plus proches de la terre. Et cette fois le progrès est avec vous, vous pourrez ramener des preuves photographiques, et vous avez encore 3 jours avant le passage de la comète.
Le problème, c'est que Illsmouth n'est pas un village très accueillant: maisons vides, habitants inquiétants voire carrément agressifs, phénomènes étranges.
