Allemand Baten Kaitos Origins ist ein Third-Person-Rollenspiel für Gamecube. Vor langer Zeit versuchte der Gott des Bösen Malpercio, die anderen Götter anzugreifen und der Krieg der Götter begann. Dieser Kampf zwang alle Lebewesen zur Flucht auf schwimmende Inseln im Himmel. 1000 Jahre später ist Kaiser Olgen entschlossen, alle Inseln zu kontrollieren.

Anglais Baten Kaitos Origins is a prequel to Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. Long ago, the evil god Malpercio attempted to destroy the other gods; a large battle of the gods ensued, and following this the people of the world were forced to flee to various islands floating in the sky. 1000 years after the war the people live peacefully in the sky for the most part; but Emperor Olgen, the emperor of one of these islands, has begun a plot to gain control of all the islands.

The main character of the story is Sagi, a "Spirit-born" individual who has been given a secret mission to assassinate Emperor Olgen. In similar fashion to Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, you don't actually control Sagi in the game but rather his guardian spirit. Throughout the game you can give Sagi advice, and as you progress the story will unfold revealing the plot that may threaten all of the islands...
Espagnol Baten Kaitos Origins es un juego de rol en tercera persona en Gamecube. Hace mucho tiempo, el dios malvado Malpercio intentó atacar a otros dioses y la guerra de los dioses se desató. Esta batalla obligó a todos los seres vivos a huir a las islas flotantes en los cielos. 1000 años después, el emperador Olgen está decidido a controlar todas las islas.

Français Baten Kaitos Origins est un préquel de Baten Kaitos: Les ailes éternelles et l'océan perdu. Portugais Baten Kaitos Origins é uma prequela de Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean. A história se passa mil anos após uma grande guerra entre deuses, onde os sobreviventes agora vivem em ilhas flutuantes. O protagonista, Sagi, recebe a missão de assassinar o Imperador Olgen, que planeja controlar todas as ilhas. O jogador controla o espírito guardião de Sagi, oferecendo conselhos e guiando-o ao longo da jornada. O jogo utiliza um sistema de combate baseado em cartas, onde itens com "essência magna" podem ser capturados e usados em batalhas. Além da história principal, há sub-quests que oferecem recompensas e oportunidades de evolução.
