Anglais Set on planet Mobius, Dr. Robotnik has hatched a new plan to menace the world and its inhabitants - by kidnapping the citizens of Beanville and turning them into devious robot slaves, the doctor will create an army that will help him rid the planet of music and fun forever. To this end, he has created a giant roboticizing machine called the "Mean Bean-Steaming Machine" to use on the jolly bean folk. Portugais Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine é uma versão de Puyo Puyo com uma história que envolve os personagens dos jogos de Sonic the Hedgehog. O malvado Dr. Robotnik decide transformar os cidadãos de Beanville em robôs. Cabe ao jogador salvá-los de sua desgraça.
