Allemand 1943 Kai ist ein Shoot'em Up, das für Arcade veröffentlicht und dann für die PC Engine adaptiert wurde. Dies ist ein vertikales Shoot'em-Up, das von zwei Spielern gespielt werden kann. Anglais This is an enhanced version of 1943: The Battle of Midway, with most of the graphics and sounds reworked. There are also changes in the weapons and the inclusion of anachronical items such as laser-firing WWII planes and ships that run on ground. The player controls a biplane Boeing Stearman E75 N68828 instead of the P-38.

The PC Engine adaptation adds some original levels to those from the arcade version, as well as animated intermissions.

Espagnol La historia en este juego viene a ser la de siempre, una batalla aérea en el Pacífico en el marco de la segunda guerra mundial, en la que el jugador tomará los mandos de un caza con el que tendrá que derribar a todos los enemigos posibles intentando que en el camino no se lo lleven por delante.

Français 1943 Kai est un shoot'em up sorti sur arcade et adapté ensuite sur PC Engine. Il s'agit d'un shoot'em up vertical jouable à deux. Pour ce qui est du gameplay c'est du classique, on shoot et on évite de se faire descendre. Les bonus apparaissent à l'écran sous forme de « POW » et à chaque fois que vous tirez dessus ils changent.
