Allemand Ein Jahr nach dem Sieg über das böse Verbrechersyndikat, das von Mr. X angeführt wird, läuft es gut für die Stadt. Aber jetzt ist Mr. X zurückgekehrt und als ob es nicht noch schlimmer werden könnte, hat er einige seiner Schläger geschickt, um Adam Hunter zu entführen. These 4 will do their best to end the syndicate's new reign of terror, and bring peace to the Streets of Rage.

Agora cabe a Axel Stone e Blaze Fielding levar a cidade de volta para seus bons cidadãos, mas desta vez eles não estão sozinhos, porque se juntam a eles um lutador profissional que é amigo de Axel chamado Max Thunder, e o irmão mais novo de Adam: Eddie 'Skate' Hunter. Esses 4 farão o possível para acabar com o novo reinado de terror do sindicato e levar a paz às Ruas de Fúria.
