Allemand In diesem dritten Teil der äußerst beliebten Castlevania-Reihe bietest du die Stirn! Wie auch im Originaltitel 'Castlevania', ist es die Aufgabe des Spielers, sich durch knifflige sowie anspruchsvolle Level zu schlagen. Doch diesmal gibt es einen bedeutenden Unterschied: Am Ende eines Levels stehen zwei Wege zur Auswahl. Jeder davon führt zu einem völlig anderen Spielerlebnis!

Die innovativste Neuerung dieses Spiels besteht in den Gefährten, die der Spieler auf seinem Weg durch das Abenteuer trifft. Neben dem Hauptcharakter Trevor, der im Kampf gegen das Böse die traditionelle Belmont-Waffe, die Mystikpeitsche, sowie eine Reihe anderer Items einsetzt, kann der Spieler ein Bündnis mit einem von drei individuellen Charakteren eingehen: Sypha, die gefangene Hexe, Grant, der Pirat, der hohe Wände erklimmen kann, und Alucard, Draculas Sohn, der mit seinem Vater noch eine Rechnung offen hat.

Take on the role of Trevor Belmont, forefather of Simon, and battle Dracula in a time long before the events of the first two Castlevania games. In addition to his trusty whip, Trevor has a power never before seen--the ability to transform into one of three different companion spirits that he meets at various points in his quest: Syfa, a young vampire hunter capable of powerful magic; Grant, a ferocious pirate who can climb on walls; and Alucard, forgotten son of Dracula, able to shoot fireballs and transform into a bat. Use an assortment of weapons (some specific to each character) as you choose which path to follow in your fight against Dracula and his army. Featuring some of the best platform action ever and loaded with replay value, this is a title not to be missed!

Tu objetivo, como en el Castlevania original, será atravesar los distintos niveles plagados de obstáculos que te separan de la meta. Pero en esta ocasión hay una novedad: cuando acabes un nivel, podrás elegir entre dos caminos diferentes, que ofrecen experiencias de juego totalmente distintas.

Los compañeros con los que te irás encontrando en el juego son otra de las novedades más importantes. Además de contar con Trevor, el personaje principal, siempre armado con su látigo místico y muchos otros objetos, podrás escoger entre tres posibles compañeros de viaje: Sypha, la hechicera; el pirata Grant, que aportará sus saltos y su capacidad para escalar muros; y Alucard, el hijo de Drácula, que tiene algunas cuentas pendientes con su padre.
