Die DanceDanceRevolution Familie bekommt Zuwachs: HOTTEST PARTY 3 spielt sich sowohl mit der beliebten Tanzmatte als auch mit Nintendos Wii Balance Board. Auch sonst bietet der Titel neue und schweißtreibende Möglichkeiten, mittels derer die Bewegungen und Tanzschritte der Spieler registriert werden. Die Hüften kreisen lassen, Schattenboxen und die Hände in die Luft werfen: Beim Einsatz von Wii Remote und Nunchuk ist von den Spielern ganzer Körpereinsatz gefordert, um den Pfeilen auf dem Bildschirm zu folgen.

DanceDanceRevolution HOTTEST PARTY 3 bietet zudem eine Reihe neuer Spielmodi. Neben dem überarbeiteten Work Out Modus und einem Story Modus gibt es nun auch einen eigens für Kinder und Anfänger entwickelten Bereich, in dem leicht verständlich in das Prinzip der Serie eingeführt wird. Die Spieler können zudem ihren Mii Avatar innerhalb des Spiels nutzen oder einen komplett neuen Charakter aus unterschiedlichen Elementen zusammenstellen.
