Allemand Das Zeitalter der großen Gilden ist angebrochen. Es entstanden Gemeinschaften und Staaten, die aus Menschen bestanden, die durch ein gemeinsames Handwerk vereint waren. Die Webergilde beherrschte ihr Handwerk so gut, dass sie das Geheimnis entdeckte, wie man den Stoff der Realität selbst weben konnte. Sie wurden von den anderen Gilden mit Misstrauen behandelt, die sie schließlich der Hexerei beschuldigten und auf eine abgelegene Insel verbannten, die sie Loom nannten.
Bobbin Threadbare ist ein junger Mann aus der Webergilde. Er wird aus der Gilde ausgeschlossen und für den mangelnden Wohlstand in der letzten Zeit verantwortlich gemacht, obwohl er den Grund dafür nicht kennt. An seinem 17. Geburtstag wird er von den Ältesten der Gilde zu sich gerufen. Kurz darauf werden alle Bewohner des Dorfes mit Ausnahme von Bobbin in Schwäne verwandelt. Dame Hetchel lehrt ihn die Kunst, magische Muster zu weben, und Bobbin begibt sich auf eine Reise, um die verlorene Herde zu suchen ...

Anglais Loom was the fourth game to use the SCUMM scripting language. The game follows Bobbin Threadbare as he learns how to use his magical powers through his distaff and as he eventually saves the world from the Lord of Chaos, who was unraveling the Loom (the source of power for the members of the weaver's guild).

Loom is an adventure game that sets itself apart from other titles in the genre through its unique gameplay system: the player character does not carry items around, but rather manipulates objects through the use of spells (called "drafts" in the game). The drafts themselves are woven by playing magical notes on a special instrument called "distaff". All the puzzles in the game are solved by learning and correctly applying these drafts.

Although the PC Engine version is CD based, it isn't a port of the PC CD-ROM version. Instead, it features mixed visuals from the 16- and 256-color versions adapted to the PC Engine's color palette and enhanced CD soundtrack with no spoken dialogue.

Espagnol Loom (Telar en español) fue el cuarto juego en usar el lenguaje de script SCUMM. El juego sigue a Bobbin Threadbare mientras aprende a usar sus poderes a través de su bastón mágico y salva al mundo del Señor del Caos, que estaba desenredando el Telar (la fuente de poder para los miembros del gremio de tejedores).

Loom es un juego de aventuras que se distingue de otros títulos en el género a través de su sistema de juego único: el personaje del jugador no transporta objetos, sino que los manipula mediante el uso de hechizos. Los hechizos se tejen tocando notas en un bastón mágico. Todos los acertijos del juego se resuelven aprendiendo y aplicando correctamente estos hechizos.

Français Le jeu suit Bobbin Threadbare, un jeune homme de 17 ans qui appartient au clan des Tisserands. Le Conseil des Anciens est attaqué et les aînés sont transformés en cygnes. Vous devez trouver les responsables et rétablir l'ordre dans la Guilde. Il apprend à utiliser ses pouvoirs magiques à travers sa quenouille et qu'il sauve finalement le monde du Seigneur du Chaos, qui démêlait le métier à tisser (la source de pouvoir pour les membres de la guilde des tisserands). Tout le gameplay repose sur l'utilisation de sorts musicaux pour interagir avec l'environnement.

Il gioco segue Bobbin Threadbare mentre impara a usare i suoi poteri magici attraverso la sua conocchia e mentre alla fine salva il mondo dal Signore del Caos, che stava svelando il telaio (la fonte del potere per i membri della gilda dei tessitori).
nnLoom è un gioco di avventura che si distingue dagli altri titoli del genere per il suo sistema di gioco unico: il personaggio del giocatore non porta oggetti in giro, ma manipola gli oggetti attraverso l'uso di incantesimi (chiamati "bozze" nel gioco). Le stesse bozze sono tessute suonando note magiche su uno strumento speciale chiamato "conocchia". Tutti gli enigmi del gioco vengono risolti imparando e applicando correttamente queste bozze.

Portugais Chegou a era das grandes corporações. Foram criadas comunidades e estados constituídos por pessoas unidas por um ofício comum. A Guilda dos Tecelões dominou de tal forma o seu ofício que descobriu o segredo de tecer o próprio tecido da realidade. Foram tratados com desconfiança pelas outras guildas, que acabaram por os acusar de praticar feitiçaria e os baniram para uma ilha isolada a que chamaram Loom.
Bobbin Threadbare é um jovem da Guilda dos Tecelões. Foi expulso do grémio e responsabilizado pela sua recente falta de prosperidade, embora não saiba porquê. No seu 17º aniversário, foi convocado pelos anciãos do grémio. Pouco tempo depois, todos os habitantes da aldeia, com exceção de Bobbin, são transformados em cisnes. A Dama Hetchel ensina-lhe a arte de tecer desenhos mágicos e Bobbin parte numa viagem para encontrar o bando perdido ...
