Allemand Ein Asteroid ist auf Kollisionskurs mit der Erde. Der Spieler steuert eine All-Expedition, die aus dem Astronauten Comander Boston Low (den wir steuern), der Journalistin Maggie Robbins, dem Archäologen Ludger Brink, der Ladungsspezialistin und Senatorin Cora Miles und dem Shuttlepiloten Ken Borden besteht. Sie sollen den Himmelskörper mit Hilfe von Sprengladungen auf eine andere Umlaufbahn befördern. Bald stellt sich allerdings heraus, dass es sich dabei nicht um einen von den normalen im All herumfliegenden Brocken handelt, sondern um ein Produkt extraterrestischer Intelligenz, genauer um ein Raumschiff, das das Landungsteam unserer Crew (nämlich Low, Brink und Robbins) auch noch unversehens auf einen fremden Planeten entführt. Hier beginnt nun das eigentliche Abenteuer. Auf unserer Suche nach einer Möglichkeit, wieder in die Heimat zurückzukommen, müssen wir einige gruppendynamische Prozesse durchstehen, viele Gegenstände aufsammeln, merkwürdige Maschinen bedienen lernen und uns zuletzt sogar mit Außerirdischen unterhalten. Da über 200 Orte dabei erkundet werden müssen, ist für genügend Überaschungsmomente gesorgt

Anglais A group of scientists discovers an asteroid that is on its way to a collision with the Earth. Is there any way to prevent the disaster? Boston Low, a NASA veteran, is sent to command a space expedition on the asteroid. Accompanied by the journalist Maggie Robbins and the archaeologist Brink, Boston investigates the asteroid and finds a strange structure that undoubtedly belongs to an alien civilization. During the course of investigations, the team finds itself on a seemingly deserted planet. They have no knowledge of the planet and no possibility of going back. Will they ever discover the secret of this strange world and find a way to get home?

''Dig'' is a point-and-click adventure game with a simple one-cursor interface and more complex puzzles than usually encountered in LucasArts' adventures. Despite having a serious story, the game follows in many ways the tradition of LucasArts' humorous adventures.

Espagnol En un observatorio terrestre se vislumbra una amenaza que se cierne sobre la tierra. Se trata de un meteorito gigante que en cuestión de horas impactará contra nuestro planeta. Los gobiernos y la nasa deciden enviar un grupo de cinco personas especialistas en diversas ciencias o materias para que viajen hasta el meteorito y que sitúen varias cargas explosivas en el mismo, con la pretensión de desintegrarlo antes de que impacte con la tierra.: Una periodista, un geólogo, y un comandante de las fuerzas aéreas (nosotros) que serán los encargados de situar las cargas explosivas, y dos pilotos más, que se quedaran en la nave.
