In seiner ersten Adaption für Konsolen besteht Supermans Mission darin, Metropolis vor dem Einfluss von Lex Luthor zu retten. Er muss zwischen den Wolkenkratzern der Stadt umherfliegen, den Hindernissen ausweichen, die ihm in den Weg gelegt werden, und die Banditen, denen er begegnet, ins Gefängnis schicken.

Anglais The Man of Steel takes flight in his first video game adventure. When Lex Luthor destroys the Metropolis bridge, Clark Kent must run to the nearest phone booth to become Superman and save the day. Along the way, Superman must be wary of thugs, a helicopter that can either help or hinder him, three Kryptonite satellites, and even Lex Luthor himself. If Superman meets with one of Luthor's Kryptonite traps, he becomes unable to fly... unless he can find Lois Lane for help. Repair the bridge, put the crooks in jail, then get back to the Daily Planet in time for the next adventure!

Cuando Lex Luthor destruye el puente Metropolis, Clark Kent tiene que correr a la cabina telefónica más cercana a convertirse en Superman y salvar el día. Ripara il ponte, metti i ladri in prigione, quindi torna sul Daily Planet in tempo per la prossima avventura!

Portugais Superman no Atari VCS 2600 um jogo de ação desenvolvido pela Atari. Em sua primeira adaptação de console, Superman tem a tarefa de salvar Metropolis das garras de Lex Luthor. Ele terá que voar entre os arranha-céus da cidade, evitando os obstáculos colocados em seu caminho e mandando os bandidos que encontrar para a prisão.

Pegue as peças e leve para o lugar onde a ponte foi destruída para consertá-la.
Se for atingido por tiros encontre com Lois Lane para recuperar a força.
Após ter prendido todos os bandidos e reconstruir a ponte vá a Fortaleza da Solidão para concluir o jogo.
