Allemand Super Dropzone ist die Fortsetzung des Dropzone-Spiels von Archer MacLean (10 Jahre später). Damals begab sich eine Auswahl der besten Menschen der Welt auf eine Expedition zum Jupitermond Io, auf der Suche nach wertvollen Mineralien. Sie wurden von einer außerirdischen Rasse angegriffen, vor der der Spieler sie verteidigen musste.
Heute gelang es ihnen, Stützpunkte auf drei weiteren Monden des Jupiter, Callisto, Ganymed und Europa zu errichten. Die Bedrohung durch Außerirdische ist jedoch immer noch real und der Spieler muss sie weiterhin beschützen.
Das Gameplay ist weitgehend das gleiche wie im ursprünglichen Dropzone-Spiel, obwohl es neue Waffen und Bosskämpfe am Ende des Levels bietet. Der Spieler steuert einen Astronauten, der mit einem Jetpack ausgestattet ist und in alle Richtungen über der Mondoberfläche fliegen kann, während er eine Welle von Außerirdischen nach der anderen tötet. Gleichzeitig muss der Spieler die zehn dem Mond zugeteilten Menschen beschützen, indem er sie zur Landezone bringt.

Anglais Super Dropzone is a sequel to Archer MacLean's Dropzone. The game takes place ten years after the happenings of the original game. Back then a selection of the finest humans in the world went to an expedition to Jupiter's moon Io in search for valuable minerals. They were attacked by an alien race that the player had to defend them from. Now they have managed to establish bases on three more of Jupiter's moons, Callisto, Ganymede and Europa. The alien threat is still real however and they still needs to be protected by the player.
The gameplay is mostly the same as the original Dropzone although it features some new weapons and end of level boss fights. The player controls a spaceman with a jetpack and can fly in all directions above the moon surface while killing wave after wave of aliens. At the same time the player has to protect the ten people that are assigned to the moon by taking them to the dropzone landing pad.
The action takes place on the moons mentioned above as well as on Jupiter itself. At the last level on each moon the player has to defeat a planet guardian. To do this the player has to hit them in their glowing green nerve centre that is exposed at times as they move around. Each wave starts with all remaining humans being beamed up by a leader enemy and to release the men it has to be defeated.

Français Super Dropzone est la suite du jeu Dropzone d'Archer MacLean (10 ans après). A cette époque, une sélection des meilleurs humains du monde partait en expédition sur la lune de Jupiter, Io, à la recherche de minéraux précieux. Ils ont été attaqués par une race extraterrestre dont le joueur a dû les défendre.

Aujourd'hui, ils ont réussi à établir des bases sur trois autres lunes de Jupiter, Callisto, Ganymède et Europe. La menace extraterrestre est cependant toujours réelle et le joueur doit toujours les protéger.

Le gameplay est en grande partie le même que celui du jeu original Dropzone, bien qu'il comporte de nouvelles armes et des combats de boss de fin de niveau. Le joueur contrôle un astronaute équipé d'un jetpack et peut voler dans toutes les directions au-dessus de la surface de la lune tout en tuant vague après vague des aliens. En même temps, le joueur doit protéger les dix personnes qui sont assignées à la lune en les amenant à la zone d'atterrissage.
