Allemand James Patterson Women's Murder Club: Crime and Splendour auf DS ist ein interaktives, buchähnliches Ermittlungsspiel mit Minispielen und Objektsuche.

In San Francisco ereignen sich eine Reihe scheinbar unzusammenhängender Todesfälle. Einige sehen wie Selbstmord oder Raub aus, aber irgendetwas passt nicht zusammen. Die Spieler sind Teil des Women's Murder Club und schlüpfen in die Rolle von Lindsay, Cindy oder Claire, die ihre jeweiligen Fähigkeiten für die anstehende Aufgabe einsetzen. Lindsay, die Polizeibeamtin, untersucht den Tatort, indem sie zunächst die "Unordnung" beseitigt und dann nach Hinweisen sucht, z. B. nach Gegenständen, die dem Opfer gehört haben könnten, oder nach den Tatwaffen. Claire, die Gerichtsmedizinerin, ermittelt die Todesursache und alles, was sich aus der Leiche ableiten lässt. Es gibt keine Strafen für die Wahl des falschen Gegenstandes und kein Zeitlimit.

A series of seemingly unrelated deaths are taking place in San Francisco. Some look like suicide or robbery, but something doesn't add up. Players are part of the Women's Murder Club and take on the role of Lindsay, Cindy or Claire using their respective skills for the task at hand. Lindsay, the police officer, investigates the crime scene, first by clearing up the "mess" and then by looking for clues as indicated, such as items that may have belonged to the victim or the murder weapons. Claire, the medical examiner, finds out the cause of death and anything that can be deduced from the body. There are no penalties for choosing the wrong object and there is no time limit.
